    • I am an experienced yoga practitioner. I do multiple reverse push up movements (chataranga) in class. I must have tweaked my wrist. Which brace would best allow healing and allow me to continue this motion in class as well?
    • Yes, this would be ideal for your injury. The wrist support does allow you to remove the countered aluminum palmer, to allow more mobility if needed, but still provide the stability and support you need.

    • Is this brace good for a competitive swimmer and our workouts in the water? Is it waterproof?
  • Jessica at 2/28/2016 1:45 PM
    • I am a competitive cheerleader and have 'overuse' injuries in both wrists. It is extremely painful for me to tumble because it pushes my wrists flat against the floor. I am currently using Tiger Paws which work awesome for tumbling, but is very painful to whoever I am stunting with when we catch the flyer it hits the other base's arms and leaves bruises on them. I am trying to find a good alternative that will let me tumble without pain (or at least minimal pain) and also let me stunt without leaving bruises on the other base. Do you have a brace that could maybe help with this?
    • You could try the don Joy Wrist Wraps. The brace has a more rigid piece on top but it is not metal to it will not cause injury to someone else.

    • I have fractured my wrist and I am getting my cast off soon and I need a wrist brace so I can play basketball. Is there any that can give some protection but still have flexibility?
    • We actually have a few wrist supports that would be beneficial for you. The Wrist Wraps will allow full hand motion yets provide compression and support to the wrist. https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-wrist-wraps-wrist-brace
The Proform Double Wrist Wrap will provide wrist support and compression but wraps throught the hand. There are no rigid parts to either of these braces so you should be able to get full wrist motion when shooting the basketball.

    • I have very small wrist only 6", will this be too big for me?
I need a wrist support for playing tennis becos I had carpal tunnel last year so my wrist is weak now. Is this the best one for me?
    • The brace wraps around your wrist so even if you have a small wrist you should still be able to wrap it tight

    • I need a wrist brace for support in golf. My wrist is small and it would be good if I had support for thumb area too. I need flexibility for my swing.
      Thank you
    • Since you want a brace that will be soft enough to still be able to use your wrist but also want your thumb immobilized I would suggest the Procare Universal Thumb-o-prene. The thumb is supported and you still get some wrist support as well.

    • My daughter Madison has pain on the top of her wrist will she be able to tumble in this and stunt if no what other product can she use besides a tiger paw
    • Lavern
She should be able to bend the wrist still with this support on
  • brandy at 9/24/2015 5:31 PM

    • wait so can you tumble in this like back handsprings, round offs, ect.
    • It has a removable aluminum stay, so if you are unable to tumble with the stay it can be removed
  • suzanne at 5/11/2015 5:29 PM
    • Can it be washed and how?
    • Suzanne
Yes you can wash it by hand with a mild soap and let it air dry
  • Marion at 5/1/2015 9:58 AM
    • Does the brace "breath" to keep it from smelling if worn for long period of time during the summer?
    • Marion
The brace is made of neoprene which is like wet suit material so it will not be breathable. You would want something like the Aircast A2 Wrist brace. https://www.betterbraces.com/aircast-a2-wrist-brace
  • James at 4/2/2015 10:14 PM
    • I measured my wrist at a 7 1/2" circumference. With the brace provide a good fit which the maximum circumference of the brace is 11"
    • James
The Wrist O Prene is a wrap around so it can be applied as tight or as loose as you see fit.
  • T at 10/10/2014 9:21 PM
    • Can this be used while typing?
    • Yes it is flexible
  • Jim at 9/18/2014 8:07 PM
    • can this be used for tennis without impairing flexibility or dexterity?
    • You will lose a bit of flecibility because it is giving some compressioon, but not a great deal.

    Great wrist brace

    Reviewed by:
There are a lot of wrist braces out there but WristOPrene may be the most comfortable---and certainly due to its lightweight materials---the easiest to sleep with.

    I highly recommend this brace!

This brace has protected my wrist after an injury while allowing me to continue typing, driving, exercising and even gardening. It is easy to put on and take off. It hand washes easily and dries quickly. I received this brace via Workman's Comp and wanted a second brace. I liked it so much better than any braces available in local stores that I ordered a second brace from Better Braces and was very happy with their service.

    Not 100% but close!

    Reviewed by:
I bought a left and right wrist brace to secure my arthritic wrists during advanced Pilates classes. The only issue I had was the plate that extends toward the palm of my hand prohibited me from exercises that require palms flat on mat. My husband has bent that plate a bit to allow my palms to lie flat on the ground. I probably should have chosen another model without the plate extending into palm area. Otherwise, these braces have save my wrists during workouts. A bit difficult to get on myself, but they are the solution to weak or painful wrists during exercise.

If you dive, this is for you!

Used for 5 salt water dives over two weeks, it's as fine as any other high quality scuba wear.
Pros: Rinses and wrings out same as other scuba neoprene, it even air dried nice with the rest. Surprisingly decent support for such a simple design, and stayed very well secured. It did not expand or shrink when wet.
Cons: It does allow slight movement, so if you need total hold you might need to wrap wrist with a bit of sticky-stretch bandage under it.
