- 2 years after knee replacement and I still have pain on the inside of my knee only when rising from a seated position or the first steps.
The doctor said time will heal but it has been 2 years!
Can I place the knee band on the inside of my knee? - The strap is for the front of the knee below the kneecap, I do not think it will work on the inside of your knee. Maybe something like the Trizone knee Support will give you some relief. https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-trizone-knee-brace

Try the REaction Web Knee Brace. The reaction is for those who suffer from anterior knee pain and it will help decrease that pain. It is light weight and easy to put on https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-reaction-knee-brace

The Cross Strap is the better patellar strap, it has a thin piece of material in the back to it won't bunch

- Can velcro be added to increase the sizing? I measure about 20 inches.
- You can alter the strap if you would like, however the warranty is void if you do so.

- Hi. My left knee hurts (and/or is weak) when I jump (but not all the time). When aggravated, it also hurts walking up/down stairs. It feels like the pain is centered below the kneecap (on the tendon) with some (referred?) pain felt just above/behind the kneecap. (my complaints are very similar to Lisa's from 6/20/2014)
1) Would this brace be appropriate? (I see the answer regarding differences between ProCare and DonJoy knee straps)
2) Would you recommend pairing this strap with a sleeve to combine specific support with general compression and warmth?
Thanks. - Keith
I would reccomend the Reaction Web knee Brace for you. This brace is specific for people who have anterior knee pain. The webing design will absorb fource and dispearse it decreasing pain under the kneecap and around the kneecap. https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-reaction-knee-brace You can try the patellar strap but it can't be worn under a sleeve

- Hello. Will this fit under a defiance knee brace?
- Jay
I would suggest the DonJoy Crossstrap it is thinner and may fit under the Defiance

- my right knee hurts right in the middle when doing lunges/squats or even walking up the stairs. Is this the brace I need?
- Thank you for your question. If your pain is on the tendon below the kneecap this brace would be appropriate. If you have additional pains or concerns please give us a call we'd be happy to find you the correct support/brace.

- How does the ProCare Surround Patella Knee Strap compare to the DonJoy Cross Strap Knee Brace. I know both are made by DonJoy. Is there a big difference?
- Thank you for your question. Both will provide inferior patellar stabilization and help alleviate pain by applying pressure to the tendon. The DonJoy version will wrap around from the back and cross over the front of the tendon before it Velcro's down. The Procare version will wrap from the front to the back. There are additional pulls coming off the front to add tension and Velcro down on the sides.

- The procare patellar knee strap - do you slip it on over your foot or does it have a velcro closure in the back?
- It does not slip over the foot and up as it is a strap, it is applied directly to the tendon and secured down with velcro.

- does it work on the direct point it is on such as you have a pain right below your knee cap will it compress it or take the pain away?
- The strap uses direct pressure on the patella tendon, (tendon that connects the knee cap to the shin) to help relieve knee pain caused by patella tendonitis, chondromalacia and Osgood Schlatter.

a Godsend!
After being diagnosed with tendinitis in both knees last year, my chiropractor suggested that I try these ProCare Surround knee straps. I had been in pain and could barely walk for months. I had had electric stim treatments, as well as massage and exercises.
After wearing these straps for only a couple of days, I was able to once again enjoy my daily walks. There was still a little discomfort at first, but the discomfort was spread out so that it was very minor. After a few days, this discomfort disappeared.
Now it's a year later and I have worn my straps daily. They are getting a little unsightly after cutting grass in them several times, so I was glad to find the straps on this website. They are still in good shape though, and the velcro still holds very well.
Give these straps a try if you're suffering from tendinitis. I know how painful it can be. Also, I might mention that I bought a pair of the Cho-Pat straps to use as a second pair, but I didn't like the fit as well. They are much narrower in width and just didn't do the job for me.Best Patellar Knee Strap
My high school daughter was diagnosed with patellar tendinopathy on right tendon. She plays volleyball year-round, club & school. Wearing this strap, after relative rest for 2 mos and no jump training for 16 mos, custom orthotics, and physical therapy, she's finally back to normal. She still wears it to prevent reinjury. It's the best strap that we have found, by far. Unfortunately, she wears through the velcro very quickly with as many times as she has to wear it, but that would be the same with any strap. Great strap!A repeat customer
Hi! It's Mindy again. I previously wrote a review about these braces, and I am still buying them and loving them. They make it possible for me to be pain-free so that I can continue my walking (which keeps me sane!) Highly recommend! This is a good company too - fast shipping and good prices.not good... no support..
Would not recommend for anyone over 200lbs... just not supportive.. Wasted my money...Pros: none....Share Your Usage: Chronic Instability, Daily Use

I'm not sure if this product is for me. I may be in the need of a knee brace instead. I tried it. It worked a little bit. Easy to put on.Share Your Usage: Preventing Injury
