Brace is too Tight
I had surgery on my left hip socket and my pelvis. As a result I developed foot drop and numbness of my left leg. Gradually I got feeling back in my thigh, but still have no feeling in my left foot. My lower left leg continues to be full of pins and needles. Because my left foot was swollen for quite a while, I was unable to get my foot into any shoes. Finally, the swelling went down, and I was able to put on two different pairs of shoes. After several minutes of tugging and pushing, I was finally able to put both the brace and my foot into a left shoe. Unfortunately, the solid plastic part that clamps behind the lower leg was too small. It dug into my leg and also caused some numbness in my ankle. Is there a way to enlarge the plastic part? Or would I have to order a larger size and trim the bottom part to fit my shoes?Pros: Lightweight, easy to put into shoe.Cons: Upper part, where the Velcro is attached, is too tight on my leg. Even though the Velcro was loose, the plastic part was too tight and dug into my calf.Share Your Usage: Daily Use

My poor Dad suddenly developed drop foot, and since my hubby has been wearing a brace for that for years, I knew jusssst what he needed. It was a godsend for his last couple of weeks before he went to heaven. Thank you Better Braces for a great product!Pros: Helped tremendously with walking and drivingCons: No cons to reportShare Your Usage: Preventing Injury, Daily Use
Not for thin width
The bottom of the brace was too thin to fit around/ under the ball of my foot. Therefore it made this brace not effective.Pros: The return policy with swift and easyCons: Did not help with drop offShare Your Usage: Chronic Instability

I've had many of these. They work well but need to be made of a more rigid material to hold up better.Pros: PriceCons: PlasticShare Your Usage: Recently Injured, Daily Use
Overall a useful item for "Drop Foot"
I have a very bad "drop foot" issue, and this item is quite useful in helping with my walking. It is not as good as my custom built and fitted AFO, but it is less cumbersome and is great for extended wear.Pros: Less cumbersome than custom built AFO and very lightweightCons: Not as comfortable over an entire day's wear or usage compared to the custom built and fitted. A flesh colored version would be a great addition to the productShare Your Usage: Chronic Instability, Daily Use
Served the purpose
It was great for temporary use, but it doesn't compare to my professionally made brace. I used it because my regular brace broke after 3 years.Pros: Kept me from stumbling because of drop foot.Cons: It didn't give as much support as my orthotic made brace.Share Your Usage: Daily Use
