    • I'm recovering from an open tibia fracture. Looking for some support and protection of that bone. Is this going to help? If not what could you recommend?
    • Assuming that the open skin from your fracture has recovered, the Donjoy Shin Splint Support Sleeve will provide compression for the tibia. Another option depending on how high up the fracture was, would be a walking boot if the bone is still healing. https://www.betterbraces.com/aircast-airselect-elite

    • This padding is on the anterior, but will it help with posterior shin splints? My pain is on the medial side of my tibia.
    • Yes, the padding will need to be positioned on the medial side of the tibia to provide relief.

    • Hello
I wear a donjoy ao full force knee brace I found out through a scope procedure that I have arthritis , and the inside is really bad but the outside is better so I wear the brace ....to keep the brace from migrating I have to wear the calf strap REALLY TIGHT AND IT CAUSES A LOT OF PAIN ON THE FRONT OF MY LOWER LEG with swelling below that what do you recommend to help with the swelling and the sore pressure of my shin ?? Please help. Oh and I'm 53 and work twelve hour days mostly on my feet! !! Thanks in advance for any help you provide. !!!!
    • The Dr. Comfort Calf Sleeve will help with compression and swelling.

    • how is this different than DONJOY PERFORMANCE
ANAFORM SHIN SPLINT SLEEVE? I get a knot on shin (i guess inflammation) and leg feel heavy like it's falling asleep, what is best for circulation?
    • They are both for shin splints and they are both neoprene, and have pads in front for compression of the anterior area. It sounds like you need something for swelling so I would suggest the Anaform Calf Sleeve
  • John at 3/5/2016 9:00 PM
    • is this machine washable?
    • No please wash by hand and let air dry
  • Trey at 2/15/2016 6:28 PM
    • My calf are about 14'5 inches and I'm only 15. However I was wondering what size should I get because I'm planning to use it for the next 2 years for track. So what size should I get? Thank You
    • You should order the medium size
  • Winston at 5/31/2015 7:33 PM
    • What is the interior material made of? Is almost a rubber type texture. I had a similar brace and lost but can't remember if this is it.
    • Winston
Its neoprene so it would be a rubber type
  • LISA at 5/12/2015 4:29 PM
    • I get shin splints on the lateral portion of my shin not the medial, will this help with that as well?
    • Lisa
Yes the Shin Splint Support sleeve will still work for you.

    • Hello,
I have calve pain in both of my legs when I exercise . such as doing zumba and latin cardio . Will these help my pain in those areas? If not can you recommend something for me? I would appreciate it. . Thanks
    • June
The Don Joy Shin Splint Support Sleeve is indicated for shin splints not calf pain so it may not give you any relief. If you are looking for something to give you compression but not to ohot I would suggest the Dr Comfort Calf OrthoSleeve. http://www.betterbraces.com/dr-comfort-calf-orthosleeve
  • Leo Kolo at 3/14/2015 11:48 AM
    • Does this sleeve have compress adjustment at its bottom end. I have to careful about sleeves being too tight close to the ankle because of circulation difficulty's.
    • Leo
      This sleeve is not adjustable

    • Hi,
Does this sleeve help with Achilles Tendonitis? If so, how?

      Thank you.
    • No it will not help achillies tendonitis. I would suggest the Aircast Air Hell ankle brace. It has airbladders in the heel and achillies area and when you step down the air is compressed in the heel area and gives compression around the achillies. http://www.betterbraces.com/aircast-airheel-ankle-brace
  • nanci at 8/20/2014 5:06 PM
    • Hello, my calf measures right at 13" at the largest part. Is it best to size up or down in this case?
    • NanciSince this is neoprene, I would suggest the medium since neoprene runs a little tight

    • In my first email I meant to say my arm cannot be reset "without" sedation of prophonal (sp)my arms are double jointed so where the arm ball with land is unpredictable. It had dropped and landed under my right armpit. So it hurts unbelievable when someone try the manual tug and pull and I scream-cry or go into shock which has happened.
When my specialist and he told me I cannot go thru surgery I was mad that he never offered me any alternatives. I can't go around with the top of my arm being so unstable. I need a brace that will add the compression to my upper so it won't roll out & dislocate. Some of these braces are just way too much. I need to find a brace that will fit on my upper arm I guess the humorous area. Some of the braces cover your front area along with the back area and then held together with Velcro straps. It's too much. They are like a straight jacket and look uncomfortable.

Can you suggest anything else that will compress my upper arm area? I don't need long sleeve and all the body coverage.

I look forward to hearing back from you

my arms are double jointed so my arm cannot be reset with Xrays and anesthesia because when it dislocates it goes down my arm & under my armpit so they need to see what way to reset it every time. So my Specialist told me the other day that there is nothing that can be done. He won;t even try surgery because I am diabetic. I need a sleeve type brace

Thank you for contacting product support. Unfortunatly the only shoulder stabiilizers are the Sully shoulder support, which comes with the straps that you mentioned. The Shin Splint support will not work for your shoulder. If you want to wear something with compression take a look at the Procare arm compression garment: http://www.betterbraces.com/procare-arm-compression-garment This will not prevent your shoulder from dislocating but it will give your arm some compression.

    • I have a "severe" shoulder injury which cannot be operated on. In 2007 I had a bad fall & pulverized my rotator cuff severing all tendons I had an ultra sound & there are no tendons at all. I did have laproscopic surgery in 2008 that did not work. I have had 34 dislocations. The ball of my arm just sits there unstable & can dislocate at any time. Another thing I have against me is my arms are double jointed so my arm cannot be reset with Xrays and anesthesia because when it dislocates it goes down my arm & under my armpit so they need to see what way to reset it every time. So my Specialist told me the other day that there is nothing that can be done. He won;t even try surgery because I am diabetic. I need a sleeve type brace that can be held up with neoprene straps with velcro. Do you have anything like this? I will need to wear it forever so it needs to be comfortable-slings don't help, they are just uncomfortable & my arm has dislocated with a sling. This is what I was looking for at The Brace Shop but they can no longer ship to Canada. Would you know where I could get one in Canada? http://www.braceshop.com/bauerfeind-omotrain-shoulder-brace.htm Thank you for your time I look forward to hearing from you. Patti
    • Patti,
      We offer 2 shoulder stabilizers.
I would recommend the Sully Shoulder Stabilizer. It is neoprene and has Velcro straps (both of which you were looking for). This stabilizer will offer compression and be able to stabilize/assist or restrict movement of the shoulder. This brace will be the most comfortable of the two.
The DonJoy Shoulder Stabilizer is the other option. This brace will provide control with abduction, external rotation and support for acromioclavicular separations. This brace is designed from a polyester Lycra material. You will have less range of motion in the brace than the sully
I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact us.

    • Can the shin splint sleeve be worn underneath a DonJoy acl brace?

      Thank you.
    • Hello, Dave -

Yes, you can wear the shin splint sleeve beneath the ACL brace.

Thanks and have a great day!

    • I dont need compression but do want shin protection. I am old, active, if I trip and fall, I lacerate my shin quite badly, a couple of times over the last few years. These wounds take a long time to heal...and are painful. I am looking for something light weight but strong in the anterior part that would protect my shins, maybe fasten around the leg with velcro. Like sports shin guards but less clunky. Do you have any suggestions? Thankyou.
    • It is a mild compression, there is padding on the front of the braceon the shin.
  • Jeanne Sinclair at 11/20/2011 9:35 AM
    • Is this splint open in the back or is it a true sleeve?
    • Hi Jeanne,

Yes it is a true sleeve.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    • I have disintegrating disks which cause siatica pain in the lower calf and shin of my right leg. Is this product for me?
    • If compression helps your leg feel better, this brace will provide that, but if it is uncomfortable for you to have compression, I would not suggest this brace.
  • Stephano at 12/12/2010 11:52 AM
    • Could this help a tibial stress fracture?
    • The DonJoy Shin Splint Support Sleeve will add support and compression to the affected area, but you'll want to consult your doctor to see if you need something like an immobilizer to restrict the range-of-motion.
