    • I am a dancer and just healed from a knee dislocation of the patella, and was advices to wear a brace when dancing to support the knee. Would this be a good choice?
    • You will want something that will stabilize the patella and keep it tracking the correct position so take alook at the Tru-Pull Lite. The brace is short and will keep the kneecap tracking in the correct position. The brace is low profile and not too bulky on your leg.

    • If my thigh is 28" .. center 19" and calf 19.5"... should I get a XL or XXL.. if I get an XXL the thigh fits but the calf is too big. If I get the XL the thigh is about 1-1.5"'s too small but the calf fits. Please advice. I simply to not want it to roll or slip around, as it will certainly become an annoyance.
    • you would need to go with the larger size because the smaller size will be uncomfortable
  • scifimom at 10/10/2015 10:50 AM
    • My thigh is 18 1/2", calf 151/2". A medium should have been just right, but it's way too tight. My knee center is 16". I'm afraid a large will fall right off my leg. What should I do?
    • Because of the knee joint measurement a sleeve might not work for you. You could try a wrap around type of brace such as the Reaction Web knee brace. https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-reaction-knee-brace
  • Ala at 9/1/2015 9:46 AM
    • If my thigh is 16" my Knee is 14.5" and my calf is 14" what size should I get?
    • The medium would be the best choice
  • Gary Carroll at 4/11/2015 9:31 AM
    • I am alergic to latex, do these or any others that you sell contain latex?
    • Gary
Most of our products are not made with natural rubber latex, this includes the knee sleeves on our site
  • cindy at 4/3/2015 5:34 AM
    • I am trying to order this is xs, with open popliteal, but closed patella. It does not give me the option. Does this mean it is not sold this way?
    • Cindy
That sleeve only comes a closed pop closed patella or open patella with either a open or closed pop. Its not made with an open pop and closed patella
  • Jen at 1/30/2015 8:46 PM
    • I need a knee brace for knee pain & swelling. However I will be wearing it at work as well and I am a dispatcher and sit quite a bit , don't want something that will bunch up or roll down on me. can you please suggest something please . Will be worn daily
    • Jen
for swelling of the knee you should be wearing a knee sleeve such as the DonJoy Deluxe open Knee sleeve. https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-deluxe-open-knee-support
  • Denise at 1/23/2015 7:54 AM
    • Is the donjoy deluxe open knee support an anti inflamatory?
    • Denise
The Deluxe Open Knee can be used for inflammatioin, I would get the closed pop, and closed patella for inflammation of the knee
  • Chris at 9/13/2014 11:25 AM
    • How many braces in a pack? Is it 2?
    • Thank you for your question. The DonJoy Deluxe Open Knee Support is sold by the each. There will be one in each pack. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
  • John Leverett at 9/3/2014 10:06 AM
    • Do you have one longer than 11 inches available for purchase? I would like to wear it under an ACL brace if possible. I have already purchased the Lycra / cotton sleeve but it doesn't provide much compression.
    • John
We do not have sleeves longer than the 11 inches, perhaps the neoprene undersleeve sleeve would give you more compression, although that is not its purpose
  • Steve Huycke at 8/2/2014 8:13 AM
    • What is the overall length of this sleeve?
    • 11 inches
  • ashley at 7/31/2014 3:20 PM
    • Does the sleeve come in other colors. I need to wear two and feel conspicuous. Do you have more of a flesh tone.
    • Ashley
      It comes in black only
  • Bill at 4/30/2014 1:06 PM
    • What is the difference between the patalla cutout and the patallapopltial cutout?
    • Thank you for your question. The Patella cut out refers to the knee cap. There would be a cut out around the knee cap. The popliteal cut out refers to the space behind your knee. A brace that has a patella and popliteal cut out would have a hole both at the knee cap as well as behind the knee.
  • Zach at 1/20/2014 9:26 AM
    • I had an ACL surgery recently, where they took out part of my patella. And this product was recommended for me to keep pressure on my knee to keep from hurting at night. But I do have some questions. I see that there is a 3x option but it is not allowing me to choose it when it says select size. Is there any way I can get the 3x size? From reading other things I think I will get the opening in the back for the popliteal so it won't bunch up. But my other main question is should I get an open or closed patella option? Which would work better to keep pressure on my knee to keep from hurting?
    • Hello,

This product is not available in 3X. You can call Customer Care and do a Special Order.

      Thanks for Contacting Donjoy.
  • Rose at 4/5/2013 6:59 PM
    • I'm trying to order this in XXL with an open pail teal and a closed patella and it won't allow the selection. Why offer it and not allow the selections?

    • Hello, Rose -

An open popliteal is offered as an option, however a closed patella is not an option and is not offered as an option to select. This brace as with a majority of our knee braces are not designed with a closed patella for functional reason. Other than the open popliteal, the only other selections offered are the following:
      1. Sleeve vs. Wraparound
      2. Drytex vs. Neoprene

      Hopefully that clarifies.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!
  • Brad at 3/19/2013 9:42 AM
    • What does open/closed popliteal and patella mean? I tore my ACL and had surgery 5 months ago, and I used my patella tendon to replace. Does it make a difference if I get opened or closed, or is it just for style?

    • Brad, the Popliteal is the space in the back of the leg, where the knee bends. Sometimes if you are bending and squatting a lot the fabric will bunch up in that area and can rub and irritate the skin. Open Popliteal means that the fabric has been cut out of that area to prevent against bunching. It is similar to the opening for the kneecap. The anatomical name of the kneecap is patella. Some people do not like having their patella pressed into their knee. If you are looking for stability and support for an ACL injury post surgery, you should look at the PlayMaker, it is going to lock that femur into place better, because of the extra straps and their configuration, and cause less movement, helping prevent any injury to the ACL more so than the Deluxe will.
  • Rachelle at 11/27/2012 11:39 AM
    • Do these come in short? I am 5 '0" tall so the regular size is way too long for my knee. I did buy one from a dr a while ago and it wasalarge short but i have since lost weight and it no longer fits. If not do you sell any that do come in short? Thanks for yourhelp.
    • Hello, Rachelle -

Unfortunately these particular braces do not come in lengths. We do offer a comparable item that is a shorter length (10"), which is the ProCare Clinic Knee Sleeve.

Also, if you're looking for additional knee (patella) support, we also have the ProCare Knee Support with Reinforced Patella (also 10" length).

If you have further questions, you can contact our product specialists at 888-405-3251.

Thank you and have a great day!
