- I want to play golf again but I suffer spondylitis on L4 and L5. Will this brace help to stabilize this so I can play again?
- The only back brace that will allow you to play golf and provide some light support to the back is the Sunders S'port All Back Support w/Shorts. It is a elastic back support attached to shorts so that the back support will not rise up on your body while moving

- I have a herniated disc in my back (L5 S1) that has left me with pins and needles and numbness in my right foot. I'm a 72 year old golfer and wonder which one of your products, if any, you'd recommend, and would it have any effect on my foot. I've had this problem for a year. Thank you.
- Wearing a back brace will force you to stay into a neutral position which may help alleviate some of the problems you are having with the Herniated disk. The best support will be the EXOS FORM 626 https://www.betterbraces.com/exos-form-626-spine-bracing-system

- My daughter is 14 and she has lower back pain from two bulging disc, she has had two injections. She is a basketball player what kinda brace would you suggest
- Sarah
If you want a brace that she can wear while playing basketball then I would suggest the Saunders All S'Port Back Support. The back support is attached to shorts so that it will not roll up on her while moving

- Hi,
I've had pain in my lower back due to a degenerative disc for the last 4 years or so. I'm an avid cyclist, and the pain gets very annoying when I'm doing strenuous climbing; steep hills, mountains (among other things). Is this something I could where while riding my bike? - Neil
You do not want to wear the DonJoy Back brace while doing vigorous activity. The Saunders S'port All Back Support is the only back brace that I would reccommend wearing while doing activity. The brace is elastic to allow for movement, but still should give some support to the lower back. https://www.betterbraces.com/s-port-all-back-support-w-shorts

- 1. The Don Joy Back Brace appears to come in 3 versions--Regular (10"), Lite (9") and Low Profile (8"). Is that correct? I deduced this from the discussions above.
2. Are there any pictures of the front of this brace? - There are three versions, we unfortunatlydo not have picture of the front of the brace. The Regular and the Low Profile have an anterior panel in the front of the brace that attaches to the belt. the Lite does not come with this panel.

- i have disk herniations in L4/L5 and I was wondering if you recommended the Don Joy Back brace Lite or Regular? What is the difference between the two?
- Misha
The Don Joy Back Brace would be a good option for you. The difference between the Regular and the lite is the height of the belt. The Regular is 10 inches and the Lite is 9 inches and does not come with an anterior panel

- I purchased this for my husband. Can this brace be worn all day? Or how many hours per day can it be worn?
- Tammy
This brace can be worn all day if needed. I would not reccommend wearing it to bed but it is supposed to keep the lower back in a good position while walking sitting etc.

- I have SI problems and low back problems after being hit by a car riding my bike. I looked at the SI brace and think this one would serve both problems. Is my thinking right? I had a total hip replacement, if that helps you answer the question. Thank you.
- The SI brace will help with SI joint problems but not lowerback. For both I would suggest the DonJoy Back Brace in the Low Profile version. It is 8" tall in the back but will support the lumbar spine and although it does not cross the SI joint it should help your positioning to decrease SI pain https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-back-brace

- I had L5-S1 Anterior fusion 8 months which did not fuse. I need a rigid brace for that level. Any suggestions?
Thanks - BD
Either the donJoy Back Brace or the Exos FORM 627 will give you rigid support in the back and there is anterior panel to prevent bengin forward too much. If you need more rigid protection the DonJoy LSO with Chairback has a rigid panel in the back of the brace. https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-back-brace https://www.betterbraces.com/exos-form-627-spine-bracing-system https://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-lso-w-chairback

- Hi, I am looking at this brace for my mother.
She has no cushion left between her L4 and L5 vertebrae.
She is also a nurse, constantly lifting people from their beds.
I want her to have support and protection while lifting, but be able to remove or loosen the brace when not in need of support. - Mike
Thank you for contacting product support. This back brace would be perfect for your mother. It provides support from L1 to L5 and is adjustable

- Which style is best suited for a 110 lb 5' 3" skinny girl with
protruding, herniated disc? - Hello Christina,
Are you in the Acute Phase now? Did this injury just occur, if so you may need more rigid support now. If this is more of a chronic issue and you having been dealing with this injury for 6+ months you may just need a non-rigid brace. Here are your options.

- does this product 'ride' up your back or will it stay in place?
- The DonJoy Back Brace should not ride up or move around while wearing it. The compression straps will help keep the brace in position.
