- which brace do you recommend for for support I have 23" thigh
- It depends on what injury you have. if you just need some support and stabilization, you can definately do with the Procare hinged knee, if you have a more serious injury, you may need to look at a more advanced brace.

- My mom is 69 yo and has bad osteoarthritis, with degenerative disk disease in her back. She's led a rough life and was physically abused by my father and stepfather. Her overall health isn't horrible, but due to digestive problems, heart medication (and a lifetime of bad eating habits) she has difficulty with proper nutrition. Approximately 3-4 yrs. ago she had left hip replacement and it has never healed properly, causing her to need a cane to ambulate, still. Over the past year or so her Right Knee is causing her pain with ambulation, bending, and standing, and it occasionally gives out or won't hold her weight. She saw an orthopedic Dr. but can't afford to go back and refuses any further testing or possible surgery. Would a hinged knee brace give her enough support to carry out her ADL's around the house and take her dog out for regular walks? She uses Ace wraps PRN for the swelling, and can't afford to have physical therapy or expensive braces made. Any ideas are appreciated.
- We have specific products for Knee Osteoarthritis. A simple sleeve design would be the OA Lite. However a rigid product would provide more off loading such as the OA Everyday or our single upright product OA Assist. Let us know if you have any other questions.
