Simple, fast, easy to apply, the Evenup uses an innovative design which helps to equalize a patient's limb length and reduce body strain while walking in a cast or walker. Easily removable, the Evenup comes in three different sizes and is adjustable to two thicknesses.

The ProCare Evenup Shoe Balancer will add about 2 cm in height. This amount added to the sole of a tennis shoe would make it equal to a DonJoy/Aircast/Procare walking boot which is about 2 inches.

ProCare Evenup Shoe Balancer reviews

csc
The use of the Evenup Shoe Balancer made it possible for me to walk without having it seem if one leg was shorter than the other. I'm not sure I could have managed to walk without it. I highly recommend it for anyone with a walking cast or boot. - csc
Ingenious!!! I cannot imagine walking w/ my BK boot without it. It reduces the constant unleveled walking and hip pain when you must wear a boot. I highly recommend it. - SFB

The Evenup shoe balancer made it so much easier to walk without the constant uneven walking or hip pain associated with my boot. It has been a blessing to have found it. - SFB

This product should be standard issue with all walking casts. Fits great to sneakers and you won't even notice you have it on. A little slippery when wet. I spent 6 months in walking casts before my recent surgery and the only complaint that I have is that the tread should be tougher because the rocking motion of being in the walker and really walking wears down the sole material. So, if you are going to be in a brace long term (+3 mo plus) be prepared to replace it. HOWEVER, you won't care how much it costs. It's that good! - patti

Didn't realize how much the Evenup helped until I went without it for a day. Using it gives me a much more even stride! A minor nuisance on rainy days; overall, a terrific addition. - Didi

I was in a boot for 4 1/2 months and complained about the pain in my hip, shoulder, and neck it caused. In the last two weeks, his nurse suggested the Evenup. It made walking so much easier and less painful. BUY IT! - Steph
I had to wear a boot several times over the last few years. Often my hip hurt more than my actual injury. The EVENUP shoe balancer made my body so much more balanced and my hip pain ended. Great product! - SFB

I had to wear a boot cast for 2 months and highly recommend this for anyone wearing one. I found that it fit better and was more level with tennis shoes as it tended to slip off with other types of shoes. It leveled my walking and helped me walk more normally in the boot cast. I do wish it was made of a harder material on the bottom since the material is kind of like that of a flip flop. Overall, I think it should be included with any walking cast. - Kellee

I bought one of these a year ago after a car accident and had to wear a cam boot and additional brace just to walk. My body was so out of whack because the cam boot made my leg longer than the other. I just had an ankle replacement and in a cam boot once again...so I am getting another evenup. Best thing ever!!! - lilmattiejane

I cannot believe what a wonder product this is. I fractured my foot in Moab, Utah while traveling in our motorhome. The local doc put me in this large walking boot (Frankenstein look) and offered no help to balance and even up my other leg. Since I recently had a Lumbar Spinal Fusion and continue to have leg pain, I was in so much pain even after the first day in this boot. I found this website, found them very pro-active in helping me make the right size choice and sending this to me immediately. No one who had a broken leg/foot/ankle or needs a boot should go without this product. - JanP

This is a good product with a great concept, but improvements are needed. The sole is flat and has no tread. This causes some slip when wet. The rubber loop on the side of the device (where the strap winds) broke within the first day, but it was still useable by inserting the strap around the edge of the device. Overall a "B" with an "A" concept. - Gloridaze

    • Was this made specifically to equalize the Aircast walking boot/brace to level of Aircast height or is it more general and meant to work with a variety of walking casts and boots? Also descriptions says 2 thicknesses, but no information on difference or option for selecting such when ordering. Can you please clarify? Thanks.
    • The ProCare Even Up Shoe Balancer is meant to be worn with ANY walking boot to even out the height of the shoe and boot to align the body. There are various layers of rubber in the product so you can customize the height based on the height of the walking boot insole thickness. Should you have any other questions please let us know.

    • My wife has a small shoe size, 5.5 to 6. Is there an option for smaller sizes?
    • Unfortunately there is not an option for smaller sizes. With the even up, make for sure you are not going by shoe size, but shoe length.

    • I wear a 5.5 women's shoe. Will the small be too big?
    • Hello Kat,

The small accomodates 6.5-9.5 shoe. We do not have a pediatric shoe size.

      Thanks for Contacting Donjoy.
  • From Lucy at 8/2/13 3:08 PM
    • I wear a 9.5 size shoe. What Sz do I need to get? Small or medium? Also, because I like options, I am wearing the MaxTrax cam boot, how many inches do I need to have on the unaffected shoe? Are cam boots sole height 2inches? Thanks!
    • Hello,

The even up ships with 2 insoles, you can remove 1 if it feels too high. I recommend the Size Small. The Rubber Straps adjust and will expand to fit your shoe.

      Thanks for Contacting Donjoy.

    • Does this have a HCPC code?
    • That has an HCPC A9270
  • From Kathy at 10/10/13 7:15 PM
    • I wear a size 10 mens tennis shoe. The sole length is just about 12". Looking at your chart, I assume I would need a large. Is this right?
    • Kathy,
      That would be correct.

      Shoe Length Size
      9.5" - 10.5" Small
      10.75" - 11.5" Medium
      11.75" - 13.5" Large

      Thank you for your question.
  • From Lynda at 1/18/14 3:22 PM
    • Sizing is very confusing. The chart you have is incorrect in converting inches to millimetres.

      Your chart says that 10.5" = 286mm, where really 10.5" = 267mm.

Using your chart, if I go by inches, I need a medium. If I go by millimetres, I need a small. My shoes range from 10.5 to >10.75 in inches, about 267mm to 280mm.

Please let me know which measurements are correct on your site - imperial or metric - so I know which size to order.

    • Lynda
Go with the medium, you do not want it too short
  • From Gary Gillotti at 2/5/14 1:15 PM
    • I wear a size 11 1/2 4E shoe. I measured the length of the sole and it measures 13 1/2 inches I am assuming that I need a large. Also, it will be on my left shoe, do they fit either foot. Thank you very much, Gary G
    • Gary
They are universal for either foot and yes the large would be best for you
  • From Lisa at 2/7/14 12:30 PM
    • The sizing chart is confusing. I wear a size 10 in women, what size should I buy? Also it talks about different heights.... Im currently wearing a djo maxtrax size med. that i need to even up too.

      Thanks
    • Thank you for your question. A woman’s size 10 shoe would fit into a Medium for this product.
  • From Barbara at 7/25/14 12:18 PM
    • I live in Arizona and it is summer and it is HOT. I do not wear tennis shoes but rather sandals on my non-injured foot. Will the shoe balancer work on sandals?
    • Barbara
I can't be sure that the evenup would work on a sandal, they are made for shoes with a somewhat harder sole
  • From Cindy at 8/4/14 2:20 PM
    • I wear a women's Salomon Eclipse sneaker size 9 1/2, when I measure the sole it is 12 inches long. By your size chart that would be a large, but you tell people that ask that a women's size 9 1/2 should order a small? What size should I order a small, medium or large?
    • Cindy
these are sized by the length of the sole of your shoe so 12 inches would be a large
  • From Mar at 9/9/14 7:25 AM
    • I have been looking at some of the reviews most of them say it is very good but noticed some said that they are slippery when raining/wet So my question to you it is safe too wear them in slushy wet snow Thx Thinking bout ordering one
    • The bottom has tread just like a shoe so it should not slip from just getting wet.
