DonJoy Stabilizing Ankle Brace reviews
I love these braces! i wear them when i play basketball to prevent injury. They are light weight and not bulky. Which makes them slip in your shoes with ease. The only down side is washing them and mine ripped. But other than that I'm buying another pair. - BallQueen
Although, there are a lot of steps in taking them on and off. They offer maximum ankle support and fit. For each step, there is an additional measurement of support. Reviewing your website, I can now see why these are the only ones Kaiser Permanente offer. Some of the models only offer a portion of the support these do in the four areas of support to prevent rollovers and sprains.
I had to get braces because I was having spasms in ankles as a result of taking Levoflaxin for the first time. Before I wore them I had about 10 spasm in 24 hours. Each time one occurred I could not bear weight on my ankles. With them on. I have no spasms and feel no pain at all.
These braces are comfortable and work great! They definitely prevent the ankle from rollovers, sprains and support for carrying your weight. For me they even work great with flip flops on. But the work the best with my walking tennis shoes.
I highly recommend this ankle brace to someone seeking to support for their ankles! Just be patient in taking them off. :) Thanks for a great product! - CJGamble
Having hypermobile joints, I've gotten injured and used more ankle braces than I can count! Out of them all, I have used this the longest because it helps my pain so much. Not only does it prevent pain, which helps me do my physical therapy, but it's so lightweight and comfortable I can wear it all day to classes and such without a problem. Mine is getting worn out, but I'm going to buy another- wouldn't use another! - AlexB
I have now gone through two of these in about 5/6 years. I guess that's pretty good since I'm VERY rough on them. I play basketball and have a very weak right ankle that rolls over if I step on a rock the wrong way. The problem is the durability of the fabric. I lace them so tight that the fabric pulls away from the lining near the heel. I wish the quality of the materials used on this were a little better, but for the money, this is the best brace I have been able to find to date. - longbeachyo

I am looking or something that will fit into basketball shoes and allow me to jump (dorsiflex) without inversion or inverting/ exverting the ankle. Thanks!

Can you be a bit more specific on how to measure the ankle for braces? My grandson wears a size 17 shoe and needs ankle braces for football the coming season.
He would fit into a Large.

I wear a size 9.5. What size do you recommend for me?
Hello, Ricky -
You should take a tape measure and measure the circumference around the ankle. Although you wear a size 9.5, it's the circumference that determines the correct size. The length of your foot does not determine the size.
X Small 10" - 11"
Small 11" - 12"
Medium 12" - 13"
Large 13" - 14"

which is better for weak ankles the aircast airsport or donjoy stabalizing brace, or the PRocare Kallassey???
Hello, John -
All three will provide appropriate support for weak ankles. The Aircast Airsport has rigid uprights on each side of the ankle, so it will provide additional support overall.
