A lightweight brace that provides complete ACL protection.

The DonJoy FULLFORCE knee brace is one of the most powerful and clinically proven solutions for protecting the ligaments of the knee, especially the ACL, from injury. The FULLFORCE is most commonly worn by competitive athletes who suffer from any of these conditions, can't afford to be weighed down by a heavy brace, and are not trying to prevent contact or impact related injuries (like a football lineman might want to do).

This knee brace is designed to provide complete protection of the knee for competitive athletes who are at the greatest risk for injuring their ACL. Utilizing DonJoy’s 4-Points-of-Leverage system and the FourcePoint hinge, knee instabilities are continually corrected. This means an injury doesn’t have to occur for this brace to work - it significantly decreases your chance of getting hurt in the first place!

The FULLFORCE knee brace is sleek, low-profile, and exceptionally light weight. It is ideal for mobile athletes like wide receivers or basketball players that are looking for complete protection for their knee, but don’t want to sacrifice speed.

DonJoy is so confident in the protection you’ll receive from the FULLFORCE knee brace they’ll pay $750 towards your surgery if your ACL is re-ruptured while this brace. You must register at www.donjoy.com/kneeguarantee to be eligible for this guarantee.

The DonJoy FULLFORCE knee brace is used to treat or prevent the following injuries:

  • Moderate to severe ACL or PCL instabilities
  • MCL or LCL instabilities
  • After ACL or PCL reconstruction surgery
  • Hyperextension

Product Features…and the benefits you’ll experience!

  • Four-Points of Leverage Dynamic System
This patented technology was developed to reduce the strain on the ACL by distributing the load placed on the ligament via four points. Click here to learn exactly how the Four-Points of Leverage works.
  • FourcePoint Hinge Technology
Makes you less likely to suffer from an ACL injury because it reduces the amount of time your knee is in an “at risk position”, enhances the Four-Points of Leverage by increasing the posterior load applied by the brace on the tibia, and improves your natural gait by applying progressive resistance before reaching a firm end point during movement.
  • Strong Aircraft Grade Aluminum Frame
You get the benefits of a lightweight and low profile knee brace that is also stronger, thicker, and more stable than the other lightweight knee braces on the market.
  • Swiveling, Internally Mounted Strap Tabs
Get a perfect fit by molding the brace to your knee, as well as enhance the fit and suspension of the brace with the swiveling strap tabs.

This knee support is excellent. It provides a stability that allows me to move about without the fear of my leg buckling from under me. - DISPATCHER

Wore this brace during football while I had a torn ACL and it felt almost as if I didn't have a torn ACL. This brace was everything and more than what I expected it to be like. Thanks Donjoy for allowing me to finish my senior season of football. - Schrock53

This is the second DonJoy Brace I have purchased since I developed a knee injury in high school. I have had over a dozen knee braces throughtout my sports and military career. I have had many doctors and physicians give me different types of elastic slide on braces, cross velcro braces, and the basic ace wraps. Out of all the braces I have had, this brace and other DonJoy braces are the only type that I trust, support and urge other soldiers with similar injuries to purchase. I don't think I will ever choose to buy any other brand of brace for as long as I am still mobile! - army_pride_07

Two of my daughters tore their ACLs within 6 months of each other, and both have this brace. They are able to still play volleyball, and will wear the brace for a year. It is light, but still protective. The sleeve helps when diving, to prevent pinching their skin at the top of the thigh. This will help insure that we do not have to have repair number three! - 2 girls

This is the best knee brace I think out there. I tore my acl on Mothers day 2011 and now I'm back on the fields. Its is light to wear. I dont even know I have it on. - allie

    • Hi, I’m interested in the DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace. My question is what’s the difference between the CI or ACL option.
    • The difference between the CI and the ACL option for the DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace is the strapping sequence. The ACL option has 5 straps; 2 posterior thigh, 2 anterior calf, 1 lower posterior calf. The CI option has all 5 straps the ACL option has plus 1 extra strap on the anterior thigh.
  • From André at 5/22/10 6:43 PM
    • I want a Knee brace to play soccer, so what's the best option for me? DonJoy Full Force our a DonJoy Armor Extreme? I have several instability ligament problem. I ruptured my ACL.
    • Both the DonJoy Full Force and the Armor are great braces for soccer. They both will provide ligament support and stability, as well as offer protection from injury. The DonJoy Armor is the strongest Off-The-Shelf knee brace available. The DonJoy Full Force has the lightest weight of the two.
  • From Edwin at 6/8/10 7:13 AM
    • I have a prescription for a custom knee braces can you please tell me where can i find a special store to get measure and order me one I reside in Brooklyn take you for your help.
    • The DonJoy Fullforce is not a custom knee brace. They are considered off the shelf knee braces. You can order right off our website and we will deliver them right to you with a money back guarantee. If you need to exchange for another size that isn't a problem either. If you are truly looking for a custom knee brace have a look at the DonJoy Defiance Knee Brace: http://www.betterbraces.com/donjoy-defiance-iii-custom-knee-brace . This brace would be fit by a representative in your area and custom made for your knee.
  • From Susan at 7/19/10 10:56 AM
    • When given the choice of ACL or CI, what is CI? We are trying to order a brace but not sure.
    • CI represents combined instability. It will address both ACL and PCL instabilities.
  • From Reggie at 7/29/10 11:40 AM
    • How can i prevent the brace from sliding once my knee starts to sweat. During football practice the brace is constantly sliding down to a little below the knee cap. That is not the proper way to wear the brace . So, I am trying to figure out how to maintain the proper wear of the brace . This is the second brace that was custom made. The first one was a little to big, so the brace company custom fitted another brace. Same result !!!! I've tried it with a sleeve, same results...........ANY SUGGESTIONS ????
    • Hello Reggie.

If the DonJoy Neoprene Knee Brace Undersleeve isn't working for you you can also try the DonJoy Anti-Migration Band For Rigid Braces. This band, made of suede, replaces the strap pads on the upper calf strap (#4, 5 strap) and helps to keep the brace suspended on the leg.

  • From Bill at 8/4/10 9:33 AM
    • Hi. I am interested in getting a knee brace for soccer but I am wondering what would be best, the donjoy armor or the donjoy fullforce?
    • Hello Bill,

The DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace is most commonly worn by competitive athletes that can't afford to be weighed down by a heavy brace, and are not trying to prevent contact or impact related injuries (like a football lineman might want to do).

The FULLFORCE knee brace is sleek, low-profile, and exceptionally light weight. It is ideal for mobile athletes like wide receivers or soccer players that are looking for complete protection for their knee, but don’t want to sacrifice speed.

The DonJoy Armor is a studier, heavier brace designed to take more impact. Given your sport, I'd definitely go with a DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace.
  • From nate at 8/14/10 3:08 PM
    • i play football i am the running back i need a brace for both knees i have ripped my mcl on one knee and ripped my meniscus and acl on the other i need protection for both knees for everything whats the best knee brace for me?
    • The DonJoy Full Force is a great choice. Your other two options would be the DonJoy Armor which is stronger and slightly heavier brace that offers a bit more protection. If you want and can afford to go custom you would want to get the DonJoy Defiance knee brace. It's the lightest, strongest and best fitting option. It's the same ACL knee brace you see all the NCAA and NFL players such as Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers using.
  • From larry at 8/19/10 4:11 PM
    • for the DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace can it be covered by insurance?
    • It really depends on your insurance. Your best bet is to check with them. You can make the purchase with BetterBraces.com and we will provide a receipt you can submit to your insurance. As an alternative you can use you Health Savings Account to make this purchase as well.
  • From Richie G at 9/5/10 5:29 PM
    • Will the full force rust in salt water? I have a armor and the "d" rings rusted out
    • Hello Richie,

The DonJoy Armor Knee Brace has metal tabs and "D" Rings, but the DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace has plastic tabs and metal "D" rings. The rust should be less of an issue, but you want to be sure to rinse the brace in freshwater after immersion in salt water.
  • From Karen at 10/28/10 8:55 AM
    • I use a Full Force ACL brace and really like it. Can I swim with it on? if so, how do I care for it after it's wet?
    • Yes you can swim with it. After use, rinse with fresh water and air dry. Do not put any of the softgoods in the dryer.
  • From Ray at 11/4/10 11:44 AM
    • I recently had acl surgery about three months ago, I getting a knee to start my running program and for when go back to playing football. I play d-line so they recommended the amor brace but i feel like the fullforce would be better for my style of play and for other sports activites I do. Like Muay Thai. I just need a suggestion on which would be better.

      Thanks
    • Hello Ray,

The DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace is a great alternative to the DonJoy Armor. The Full Force is constructed of the same material as the Armor, but at a lighter weight. Ideal for quick moving activities where the impact protection offered by the Armor is not required.
  • From Jeff R at 11/22/10 3:49 PM
    • Can this DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace be used in the salt water / I do kite surfing & required a brace that can handle this & not fall apart .or would one of the Armor Knee Brace with Forcepoint hinge be better

      Thanks. Jeff R
    • Hello Jeff,

The DonJoy FullForce can be used in salt water, however you'll need to maintain the brace.

Rinse the brace in fresh water after immersion in salt water. You'll also want to purchase a Teflon based dry lubricant for the hinges on your brace. This item can be found in most bicycle shops.
  • From Kyle at 12/2/10 8:33 AM
    • Is the Full Force made of carbon fiber or aluminum? The description says aluminum but the picture looks like carbon fiber.

      Thanks,
      Kyle
    • The DonJoy Full Force Ligament Knee Brace is made out of aluminum. The Carbon fiber appearance is cosmetic. It's actually the same material the DonJoy Armor is made of.
  • From Frank at 12/6/10 4:51 PM
    • What would be the best and lightest brace possible at the Middle Linebacker position for football? The one that I have now by townsend is too heavy and is constantly sliding down.
    • Hello Frank,

The DonJoy FullForce will provide the most support at the lighter weight than the Armor or other similarly constructed braces.

The brace itself is malleable, meaning it can be bent without breaking. If you find that either cuff is loose and the straps aren't tight enough, simply bend the cuff to match the shape for a more snug fit.

You may also want to try an undersleeve or Silicon Strap Padding to address migration.
  • From Dean Guiuan at 3/4/11 6:40 PM
    • Two Questions;

1.) What is the difference between short and standard options?

2.) I know the ACL option, what does the CI option mean?

      Thank you,
      Dean Guiuan

    • 1. The difference between short and standard is the length of the thigh cuff. The standard is one inch longer than the short.

      2. CI stands for Combined Instability. This is the option you would pick if you had an injury to both your ACL and PCL. It gives you an extra thigh strap in the front.
  • From Jim at 3/4/11 10:13 AM
    • Hi! I had ACL reconstrucive surgery a few months ago. I'm ready to go back to playing hockey and my ortho recommended wearing a knee brace. Would the standard or short calf model be best for me? Or does it even make a difference?
    • Hi Jim,
Most Hockey players will wear a knee ligament brace with a short calf length to avoid pinching between the calf frame and top of the skate. So for comfort reasons I would suggest a short calf frame.

      Thanks
  • From Dean at 3/10/11 4:14 PM
    • Today I received my Full Force knee brace. I order a small and have the correct measurements. It's tight around my knee and feels unfordable were it starts to hurt.

Is there any way to loosen it around the knee?
    • Dean,
Thank you for taking the time to email us here at www.betterbraces.com regarding your Donjoy Fullfource Knee Ligament Brace. Did your brace ship with additional condyle pads (that attach at the hinges of your brace). If so, try and switch out the ones on the brace with the thinnest neoprene condyle pads (2mm thickness). This should open up your knee width (space between the hinges) on your brace. Should you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to contact us again.
  • From Ronald at 4/15/11 5:09 PM
    • I'm trying to decide between the DonJoy Full Force and the DonJoy Armor Knee Brace with FourcePoint Hinge. How does the hinge f\technology compare between these two braces?
    • The FullFource and the Armor with Fourcepoint Hinges have the same hinges. The Armor frame is a denser thicker aluminum frame recommended for contact sport athletes. Should you have any additional questions please call us at 800-553-6019.
  • From Dave at 6/10/11 3:42 PM
    • How do I tell if I have a short or standard calf lenght?
    • A standard length brace is 16" in total length, from the thigh bar to the calf bar.
  • From Brandon at 7/8/11 5:12 PM
    • I am looking in to getting a new knee brace because the one I have no longer fits me properly. I am liking the full force knee brace, but I have a couple questions. First question, what is the difference between the short and standard length? The brace i have now is just under 15 inches, so i was wondering which length I should get? Also, I have been looking at the new Armour brace and was wondering how much of a weight different there is between the Armour and the Full Force?
    • The Donjoy Full Fource standard length is 16" the short is 15" so you should get the short. The Armor Knee brace is heavier than the Full Fource because it's made of a dense thick aluminum. Should you have any other questions please let us know.
  • From Mark at 7/23/11 7:34 AM
    • My son is a sophomore in high school football and is 6'5" and weighs 290lbs. I am looking for the best preventative braces for his knees as he is an O lineman. What do you recommend for this?
    • I would recommend the Armor with the Standard hinge, it is the most commonly used in football. It can take the most beatings for an off the shelf knee brace. The fullforce is the next step down, just be cause it is not as strong and is only made with a single layer of the high aircraft grade aluminum, where the armor is a double layer.
  • From Shed at 8/12/11 8:42 AM
    • Hi, there im from Manila, Philippines, how much is the shipment to my country? and if ever im getting a Customised brace, you'll send a representative to get my measurements, is this correct?
    • unfortunately we do not ship out side of the US. you will have to go through the company and one of the distributors in your local area. you can go to the website and look up a distributor near your area. www.djoglobal.com
  • From Alex at 10/13/11 9:58 AM
    • HELLO.
I had two operations on my left knee. Now I want to buy brace to play soccer and hockey. Before the surgery I was playing 4 times a week.
But the question is: Is it possible, during the games, wear "fullforse brace" on my healthy right knee, too? (To reduce the risk of injury). Are there any negative effects, if worn brace on the good leg ? (exmpl. weakening of the thigh muscles).
      Thank you.
    • Yes the FullForce is used to prevent ACL injuries. You may wear it during athletic activity.
  • From Jami at 10/13/11 12:52 PM
    • I am going to be ordering the brace that is the top of the line for acl injury. could you please tell me what brace is the top of the line for this injury. I also want it custom painted. I really want a fushia but all I have seen is a pale pink. Can you help me with the colors I can have? I am going to be ordering the brace tomorrow so if you could please get back to me today sometime it will be very helpful.
    • Our Custom Defiance can be manufacured in various colors. Pink is an option.
  • From Tracey kingsley at 11/6/11 1:17 AM
    • Hi

I am looking to purchase a donjon knee brace open hinged for skiing. I had an ACL reconstruction 20 months ago.

      1. Is the clearance Amor Fource point ACL knee brace suitable for skiing an tennis?

      2. Does it come in short length for skiing?

      3. Could I wear my thermal legging under the brace for comfort.

      4. Is their a female version?

Please tell me which brace will be most suitable and comfortable for skiing with best propection that is lightweight with full protection after ACL reconstruction surgery.

I look forward to hearing your recommendations

      Regards

      Tracey

    • Hi Tracey,

Either the Armor or FullForce braces will provide support for your ACL while skiing. The Armor and FullForce are the same brace, except the Armor is re-inforced making it the strongest off the shelf brace we carry. The Fullforce is the lighter of the two. Both braces have an option for a short calf length, which you will need to fit into ski boots and can be worn over a thin base layer. The female version of the FullForce comes standard with a short calf, but there is no difference in the frame to make it more female specific. Bottom line is either brace will privide solid protection, the Armor is stonger, the FullForce is lighter weight and slightly lower profile.

If you have additional questions please call, 1-800-553-6019

      Have a great day.
  • From Tyler Beach at 12/20/11 8:01 AM
    • How do I wash the Donjoy Full Force brace?
    • You can wash all the softgoods by hand with laundry detergent, rinse, and air dry. Re-lubricate the hinges using a dry, Teflon based lubricant. Bicycle chain lubricant usually works well.
  • From Ashley D. at 12/29/11 8:47 AM
    • I just got approved to go back to playing ice hockey today from my doctor post ACL reconstruction. I'm pretty sure he wants in a brace while I play. He said the on that he gave me would work just fine but the problem with that one is the hinges are really really bulky and do not fit under any shin pads I own or have tried on. Also I feel that it won't give the support I'm looking for during a game. So I guess I'm looking for a knee brace that isn't too expensive and will give me some support plus the low profile I need to fit under my hockey equipment. I have looked at several (DonJoy FullForce Ligament Knee Brace, DonJoy Legend SE-4 Knee Brace and one other I forget which) and just really undecided on which would be the best for me to use.

Looking forward to seeing your recommendations and thank you very much in advance.

      Ashley

    • Thank you for contacting us. I would suggest looking at the DonJoy Armor brace as my first recommendation and the DonJoy Fullforce brace as my second. The Armor just has a second layer of the aircraft grade aluminum and is a little stronger, then the fullforce for taking hits. But either of these braces will be a good option and are very low profile.
  • From Daniella at 1/12/12 11:01 AM
