DonJoy ComfortFORM Back Support reviews

I use this product for work for 7 hours straight hours bending and lifting, the life of a room attendant. I recently hurt my back on the job and was in pain for weeks after therapy I wasn't getting better. So I purchased this brace and after a hard days work my back feel a lot better plus my therapy I am feeling better. Now after work I can do thing and feel better doing whatever. I will never work without this brace. The pad in the back is a great idea feel comfy, but I do get a bit hot with it on, but I don't mind. The price is fair and will buy an extra one down the road. - tuna1258

    • I am a truck driver and I have sciatica nerve issues. My left side of my back always hurts. I sit and stand plus getting in and out of my truck all day. Will this brace help with those issues or what do u suggest. Thank you for your time
    • Chris
Yes this brace is a great brace to wear while doing these activities because it will keep your back in a neutral position which should help with the pain
  • From Mark at 2/9/2015 6:34 AM
    • I have and old injury herniated disc, I think arthritis as well and sciatic issues and love to play golf , I stand all day window tinting cars and homes and need some relief for pain what would you suggest?
    • Mark
The comfort FORM back brace will give you back the support you need while standing during the day. This would be a good brace to try.
  • From Paul at 1/4/2015 6:58 PM
    • From the pic I see that the wide part (of the white section) is at the bottom. Does it have to be worn this way or would it be okay with the narrow part down?
    • Paul
There is only one way to wear the brace, it would not fit correctly wearing it upside down
  • From Mary at 10/23/2014 12:48 PM
    • Three years ago I had L4 and L5 infusion. Now the sciatic pain in my left leg is intense and I have pain in lower back. This all started about 6 months ago. Will this work for me?
    • Mary
The Comfort FORM back brace does have a pad in the back of the brace that will keep you in a better position while sitting and walking. The brace is pretty comfortable but does give you the support that should help with some of your leg pain and back pain.
  • From Julie at 10/11/2014 2:04 PM
    • My son had a stress fracture to his L5 last year caused by the repetitive motion of competitive diving. Do you have a lower back brace he can wear while diving to help support his lower back? We have seen other competitors wear such braces while competing but not sure where to get one from.
    • Julie
I have never seen a diver wear a back brace while competeing in all my years as an athletic trainer. Just the mechanics of divine and the force of the water when entering the pool it doesn't seem that the braces would stay in the right position or give any support to the spine. You could try one of our elastic back braces such as the DonJoy Drytex Lumbarsacral support.
  • From Alicia at 9/15/2014 7:16 PM
    • Hi,
Recently I had a show jumping accident where I fell about 170cm from my horse and landed on my lower back. The doctor advised no riding for 4 weeks although he said (depending on X-ray results) I could try and use a brace

I have injured from t-11 to l-3 area and it could be just soft muscle tissue but we are still not sure. It isn't a break of fracture.

My question is, if I wanted to start riding again soon, (the 4 weeks will KILL me) will this be suitable? I wouldn't start jumping over 1m until it has healed completely.

      Thanks in advance
    • Thank you for your question. The ComfortFORM Back Support is a favorite among active people. It provides comfort as well as silicone grip to keep the brace from migrating and shifting during activity. I think you would find this brace to be a good fit for you. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    • My 15 year old plays soccer.
      Fighting through several injuries
Her lower right back hurts to run.
Can she use this brace or should we use a different kind?
    • Jamie
I would suggest the Saunders All S'port Back Support with Shorts. This is an elastic back support that can be worn while playing aports because it is very flexible.

    • I have a 38" waist. Should I get a Large or Extra Large?
    • Skip
Thank you for contacting product support. I would go with the XL, that way you know that it will fit you, you don't want to get the smaller one and t be too small.
