SAVE 58% on the previous generation DonJoy Armor ACL Knee Brace w/ FourcePoint Hinge

DonJoy has recently launched a new version of the FourcePoint hinge, so now we are offering clearance pricing on all of the Armor ACL braces we have in stock with the previous generation hinge. You'll still get a top quality brace, but while supplies last you'll save 58% off the regular price!

The DonJoy Armor knee brace with FourcePoint Hinge Technology is the brace to use if you are an extremely active individual or athlete who suffers from an ACL, MCL, or PCL instability or injury. Offering the same features as the standard Armor brace, this model is equipped with FourcePoint hinge technology – clinically proven to provide additional ACL protection by reducing the time spent near full extension (otherwise known as the “at risk” position).

The Armor brace is the strongest and most supportive brace you can get without a prescription. If you are concerned about protecting your ACL during sports or high impact activities, the Armor knee brace with FourcePoint Hinge Technology is the best brace for your needs.

This brace is ideal for anyone who plays football, skies, snowboards, rides motorcross, surfs, wakeboards, or participates in similar high impact sporting activities.

The DonJoy Armor knee brace is used to treat or prevent the following injuries:

  • Moderate to severe ACL or PCL instabilities
  • ACL/PCL combined instabilities (CI)
  • Recovery from ACL or PCL reconstructions
  • MCL or LCL instabilities
  • Hyperextension

Product Features…and the benefits you’ll experience!

  • Four-Points of Leverage Dynamic System
This patented technology was developed to reduce the strain on the ACL by distributing the load placed on the ligament via four points. Click here to learn exactly how the Four-Points of Leverage works.
  • FourcePoint Hinge Technology
Makes you less likely to suffer from an ACL injury because it reduces the amount of time your knee is in an “at risk position”, enhances the Four-Points of Leverage by increasing the posterior load applied by the brace on the tibia, and improves your natural gait by applying progressive resistance before reaching a firm end point during movement.
  • Adjustable Extension Resistance
The FourcePoint Hinge enables you to set the flexion angles (25˚, 35˚ (factory setting), 45˚, 55˚, or 65˚) based on your condition or point of recovery. This puts you in control where the degree of tension stops.
  • Available in Standard and Short Calf lengths
Now you can choose the calf length to further customize the fit of your knee brace. The short calf length is recommend if you will be wearing ski boots or similar items at the same time as your knee brace.
  • Custom Frame and Swiveling Strap Tabs
Get a perfect fit by molding the brace to your knee, as well as enhance the fit and suspension of the brace with the swiveling strap tabs.
  • Aircraft Aluminum Frame
You get the benefits of a lightweight and low profile knee brace that is also stronger, thicker, and more stable than the other lightweight knee braces on the market.
  • Anti-migration Supra Condyle Pad
Your knee brace will stay in place no matter how active you are.
  • Calf Pinch Guard
Provides a smooth transition between boot and calf cuff so you’ll never pinch your calf again. This is an add-on accessory that is purchased separately.
  • Impact Guard
Protects the shin and knee against blunt blows, as well as prevents you from ripping pants or uniforms. This is an add-on accessory that is purchased separately.

ACL repaired. Awesome brace. Easy to install, no mitigation, and is undetectable under clothing, even somewhat tight jeans! I have worn the brace during: soccer, football, snorkeling, extreme hiking/climbing/mountain biking. Durability: 10+ Comfort: 8.5 Cost: 7 (but it is alot cheaper than getting another surgery!) Con: Get an undersleeve for extended periods of wearing the brace (>6hours); Chafing is likely Would def recommend to a friend! - patters81
MotoJoJo
I ride motocross and have two bad ACL's. Where the DonJoy Armors everytime out. These bad boys have saved my knees a couple times. i just wish I was wearing them for protection the first time my knee got hurt. They fit really nice....although for Moto I'd recommend an undersleeve...adds to the comfort. - MotoJoJo

    • HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH?
    • Depending on the size The DonJoy Armor weighs between 18-26oz
  • From W Smith at 11/14/10 7:18 AM
    • Your size chart is confusing. Could you be more specific in measuring for a good fit?

We need a brace to prevent hyperextension of the knee and yet will allow the wearer to flex the knee at least 90 degrees to sit in a chair and more importantly on the toilet without having to take the brace off. The fourcepoint acl brace appears to do that. Can you give further info and make a recommendation please?
    • Hello W,

I have emailed a sizing guide to your email address.

All braces with hinges will prevent hyper extension as the hinges to not allow extension past the full extension.

The fourcepoint hinge will provide passive resistance once the brace approaches full extension. The resistance can start at flexion angles between 25° and 65° and engages during the last 25° of extension prior to coming to a hard stop. Five different resistance levels are available to meet rehab protocol specifications and provide comfort. The resistance can be adjusted using the supplied allen wrench to modify the set screw placement. The same wrench can be used to turn the resistance completely off by simply flipping a switch.

      appreciated
    • Hello,

We recommend the DonJoy Armor or the DonJoy Full Force for sports like soccer.

Send me an email at service@betterbraces.com with your Knee Center, Thigh, and Calf measurements.

This will give me the information I need to recommend a size.
  • From Nolan at 1/1/11 10:40 AM
    • I am interested in the Armor force point that is on clearance. What is the difference between this model and the newest model. also it's looks like in my size (medium) for the left knee only the short calf model is available. Is there more of a slipping problem with the short calf model (or any other problems)

      Thanks
    • Hello,

The DonJoy Armor FourcePoint ACL Knee Brace - Previous Generation features the original version of the fourcepoint hinge. The current model is more low profile and smaller.

      The functionality remains the same.
  • From Wendy at 1/3/11 4:46 PM
    • I need a knee brace for soccer, had my ACL reconstructed 20 yrs ago, and scoped 5 times for torn cartlidge, have osteoarthritis. Which brace is best for that? I also seem to be in between sizes thigh is 17.5, knee center 14.5 and calf is 14.25, should I go small or medium? Thanks
    • The DonJoy Armor with FourcePoint hinge is a great option for an active individual who wants maximum ACL protection. The brace is low-profile and has the strongest frame on the market so it will withstand the rigors of soccer. The FourcePoint hinge gives added protection to the ACL by dampening the last 25 degrees of extension; thus, keeping the wearer out of hyper-extension or an at risk knee positions.

The best size of knee brace would be a medium. All of the DonJoy off-the-shelf knee braces are made to be a bit malleable so slight size adjustments can be made if necessary for a comfortable fit.
  • From Jeanen at 1/27/11 4:09 PM

  • From Jeanne at 1/27/11 3:43 AM

  • From SJV at 6/5/11 9:51 PM
    • I have offten pain in my knee when I run. I am not sure why and havn't gone to the dr. If there is a brace to help this which one would you recomend?
    • Without a diagnosis, it is difficult to make a product recommendation. Where is your pain? What are you hoping to get out of a brace? Compression? Stability?
  • From Sierra V. at 6/29/11 9:16 PM
    • Hello, i am a basketball player. when ever i run long distance or a 100 meter my knee hurts. The pain is on the outside of my knee. I never went to a doctor. I am only 13 years old. i think that a brace would help me with my knee. Do u have any suggestens?
      Sierra V.
    • Sierra, do you have an athletic trainer at your school that can evaluate your knee injury? It's hard to say what's wrong with your knee based on your description. Does your knee get swollen when you run? You may benefit from a sleeve, but if it feels loose or like it wants to buckle, then I would say that you'd need a brace with a hinge. What's your zip code? I can refer you and your parents to a local rep in the area to assist you in person on making a choice.
  • From taylor at 8/1/11 3:37 AM
    • Hello,
i was wondering my insurance would take care of the price

    • Betterbraces.com does not accept insurance.
  • From Anthony Timeus at 9/24/11 10:36 AM
    • I recently have been diagnosed with a full tear to my ACL, and tore my meniscus in my left knee in a football game. As of right now I'm not looking into getting surgery. I would like to finish my last year of football. But I'm also in my high school musical of footloose and on the rugby team. I just need to know what brace you would recommend that is lite weight and stable enough to support me while I'm spinning and cutting, I weigh around 190. But I have had surgery on my left hip for a slipped epiphysis and there for my knee some what corrects for my out ward motion of my hip.

      Thanks a tone

      Anthony Timeus

  • From Josh at 11/9/11 8:15 AM
    • What material is on the inside of the DonJoy Armor Force Point ACL Knee Brace? I am allergic to Neoprene and im having a hard time finding a brace. I recenty had ACL Reconstruction and menisoscopy and i am just looking for extra support for daily activities. What do you recommend?
    • The Armor will be a great option for you. The liner on the armor is suede, but the knee pads come standanard with neoprene pads in them, but you can contact the company and get chamois knee pads to replace them.
