The Aircast StabilAir Wrist Orthosis is a lightweight, water resistant brace designed for the treatment of post-operative distal radius fractures. Easy to use, the StabilAir can be applied quickly and easily in the office, hospital, or clinic. Each StabilAir brace is engineered with dual, ventilated shells providing a lightweight, alternative solution for short-arm casting. These dual shells are designed to contain, stabilize, and protect the wrist.

Within the shells, the StabilAir brace integrates innovative new aircells to enable a customized fit. A contoured, variable density foam pad anatomically designed to the shape of the forearm and wrist is provided inside the volar (bottom) shell. This volar pad is thickest and the material is also more dense directly under the wrist area to maximize support.

The dorsal (top) shell is flexible to conform to the forearm as it is applied and inflated, further customizing the fit. Integrated into the dorsal shell are two aircells for support and comfort: one aircell over the distal radius, and another aircell inside the perimeter of the dorsal shell. The perimeter aircell is inflated using the specialized Hand Bulb with Pressure Gauge (included with the brace) for personalized support and comfort. The perimeter aircell is designed with an open center, creating a ventilated area that 'breathes' through the dorsal vents. A webbed liner helps reduce window edema.

A moisture wicking material is used on the perforated volar pad to further improve comfort and promote breathability. The StabilAir brace is radiolucent. Available in two sizes (small and medium) for left or right arms. Pump included.
