Product Questions

How does the Aircast cooler work? Does it plug in to an electric outlet to pump the water?

Do I need a prescription for this?
Question by: Joe on Jun 9, 2010, 5:16 AM
This Aircast Cryo/Cuff Cooler does not plug into the wall and does not require a prescription. This version uses gravity to transfer cold ice water from the cooler to the pad and back again once the water has warmed up.

There is another version call the Aircast Cryo/Cuff IC that is motorized that uses a pump instead of gravity to push the ice water from the cooler to the pad. This version does require a prescription.

The disconnect between the tube and the cuff is becoming increasingly difficult to hook up, are there any recommendations to help?
Question by: John on Dec 29, 2014, 7:02 PM
John
There is a 6 month warranty on the unit and that is a quality issue that we have been seeing. You can call Customer Care at 800-336 6569 to get the tube assembly replaced if it is under warranty

On the lid of the "Aircastcryo/Cuff cooler, there is a small circular vent. Do you leave it open or closed when using the machine? The cooler works great!!
Question by: Norma P. on Jul 14, 2016, 3:15 PM
When you are using the cooler, the vent is done automatically by the machine so you do not have to worry about having it closed or open
