    • I am looking at the Aircast A2 wrist brace: my wrist is 6.25 inches. I see that as the size in both the small and medium braces. Which would be the best size in your experience with customers?
    • Sherri
The Small would be the right fit for you
  • Julia at 9/16/2015 6:05 AM
    • Are there metal stabilizers in the brace? If so, can they be removed and will the brace still be effective? My son has a growth plate fracture and needs support for his wrist after cast removal during football. However, he can not have any metal in the support urging the game.
    • Julia
Yes there are aluminum stays on both the top and bottom of the brace and they can be removed.

    • Hi, I have carpal tunnel in my right wrist. I'm trying to find a brace that helps restrict movement up and down. I also need one that is breathable. I purchased a different brand and work as a vet tech. So I get pretty warm during the day. Thanks!!
    • Melissa
I would suggest the AirCast A2 Wrist Brace

    • I have carpal bossing between my 2nd and 3rd metacarpals on the dorsal wrist and I am trying to avoid surgery. What type of brace would be recommended?
    • KC
The Quickfit Wrist II is a good brace that should lie almost at the knuckle areas to give protection and support to the metacarpal bones. http://www.betterbraces.com/procare-quick-fit-wrist-ii

The A2 wrist brace is a good brace, so is the Quickfit II. Both will prevent the wrist from moving. http://www.betterbraces.com/procare-quick-fit-wrist-ii

    • Have Rheumatoid Arthritis -- severe in wrists -- effect is both pain and limited flexion.
What type brace is recommended for this condition.
      Thank you.
    • The A2 Wrist brace will restrict your motion and immobilize the wrist which may decrease inflammation and pain. A wrist splint is the only thing I would reccomend for you.
  • Gary at 7/23/2014 2:01 PM
  • Kris at 7/1/2014 3:29 PM
    • Is the brace made out of neoprene?
    • No the inside of the brace is a nylon material
  • njs at 12/2/2013 8:22 PM
    • How do the adjustable straps work - velcro, snaps, something else...?
    • The straps on the Aircast A2 Wrist Brace straps will adjust by velcro. Thank you for your question.
  • Nancy at 12/28/2012 8:58 AM
    • What is the proper procedure for cleaning this brace? Is it machine washable? Dryer? Hand wash? Air dry? etc......

      Thank you.
    • Hello, Nancy -

We recommend washing the brace by hand using anti-bacterial soap and water then air drying. We do not recommend putting it in the washing machine or dryer as some of the materials may be compromised or damaged.

Thank you and have a nice day!
  • nikki at 7/22/2012 8:43 PM
    • does it keep your wrist and arm cool? I have tendinitis in my wrist and elbow. is the aircast better for my wrist than a regard wrist splint?
    • Nikki,
The Aircast A2 is made to give medium support to a wide range of ailments such as: Wrist injuries (ligament instability, sprain or muscle strain), Carpal tunnel syndrome, Post-operative application, Post-removal of casting or splint, Thumb injuries (A2 Wrist Brace with Thumb Spica only). The brace is not a cooling unit, it is for support only.

    • The doctor just put my wife in an A2 wrist brace and we are looking for spares. Are they available in any other color than black? Her skin tone is quite pale (Irish) and she's over-conscious of her appearance.

      Tom Woods
    • Hello Tom,

This item is only availible in Black at this time.

You may want to look at the Aircast StabilAir Wrist Brace if color is a concern.
  • B at 10/1/2010 12:59 AM
    • If I have a wrist strain, afflicting my movement side to side rather than up and down, and I need to have a brace that can go in the ocean, what would you suggest?
    • Hello,

Your questions really depends on what you are doing in the ocean. If you plan on being active (Surfing) you'll need a DonJoy CXT & SXT Functional Wrist Brace to limit the motion effectivley.

If you plan on being less active, a DonJoy ComfortFORM Wrist Support will suffice.

Remember, you'll need to rinse the brace in fresh water after immersion.
